Jahnda wins first 8(a) contract at $4.5 million

As an 8(a)-certified company, Jahnda has been awarded its first 8(a) contract to date with the United Stated Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) award number 123A9422D0007.

Structured as a 5-year Firm Fixed Price (“FFP”) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (“IDIQ”) contract, Jahnda is obligated to sell certain cold weather clothing to USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) team. The total dollar value of the IDIQ is $4,500,000.00.

The Federal Meat Inspection Act (“FMIA”) requires that all meat sold commercially be inspected and passed to ensure that it is safe, wholesome, and properly labeled. The USDA FSIS team and their food inspection workers are responsible for providing this inspection.

With this award, Jahnda is grateful to be partnered with the USDA in its efforts to achieve this mission for the next five (5) years.
