Jahnda certified as 8(a)
The Jahnda Group (“Jahnda”) is pleased to announce their recent certification as a Program Participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (“SBA”) 8(a) Business Development Program. The 8(a) Program is a nine-year program created to help companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Program Participants are also eligible to receive assistance from the 7(j) Management and Technical Assistance program.
Critically, the 8(a) certification qualifies Jahnda as eligible to be awarded sole-source contracts, as well as compete for 8(a) set-aside contracts. The government authorizes sole-source contracts to 8(a) Participants for up to $7 million for acquisitions assigned manufacturing North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes and $4.5 million for all other acquisitions.
8(a) program Participants including Jahnda remain eligible to compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs or small business set-asides they qualify for. Upon receipt of this certification, Jahnda is now eligible to compete for Federal contracts under the following socio-economic certifications:
Small Business (“SB”),
Veteran-Owned Small Business (“VOSB”),
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (“SDVOSB”),
8(a) Business Development Program.
Jahnda’s 8(a) Program term is nine years and begins on December 5, 2020.;
